How does IPL work?
Light energy is absorbed into the skin and converted to heat to target specific conditions on the skin. It is considered a non-ablative laser with minimal downtime. IPL differs from other lasers in that it has a broad wavelength range (many different wavelengths of light) which can treat many chromophores (hemoglobin, water, melanin) simultaneously. The light energy delivered targets your problem areas and causes them to disappear through the body’s natural healing process.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING IPL
Our IPL experts will examine and customize your treatments to your personal specifications. Numbing is not typically needed; however, numbing cream is an option and can be applied prior to treatment if requested.
