What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is a biostimulatory injectable that promotes your body to produce collagen cells. Sculptra differs from other HA-fillers because the results will take a full 6-8 weeks to fully show versus HA fillers will have an immediate effect. Since Sculptra stimulates collagen production, it takes time for the cells to respond to the treatment and patients will see a gradual improvement in their fine lines, wrinkles, and skin quality.
How many sessions do I need?
The general rule of thumb that is used with Sculptra is “1 vial for every decade of life.” This means that if you are in your 30s, you will need a total of 3+ vials of Sculptra, 40’s will require 4+ vials, and so forth. These treatments can be spaced out between 2-3 sessions, each session being every 6-8 weeks. However, the number of vials will be determined by our skilled injectors during your consultation. How long does the results last?
The results can last up to 18+ months with a full treatment course. It is important to remember that a full treatment will give you longer lasting effects versus an incomplete treatment. For example, if you were recommended 6 vials of Sculptra in your treatment plan and you only completed 2 vials, your results will not last the full 18+ months. Those who complete the full treatment plan will have the best, longest lasting results as we have maximized the amount of collagen within the skin.
